![]() The event log shows the same info that the OP mentioned in his July 14th post. For us it doesn't even get to the verification of the authenticity of the Acad. Since that time we have been unable to get Acad running on it. Because of other issues windows got however re-installed on that one particular machine. There's half a dozen identical machines (workstations Win 7 64) with the same hard- and software that still run it. If they need to markup drawings my CAD managers prefer Design Review Opens a new window. Like JonKorf said if they are just viewing the drawing then DWG TrueView Opens a new window should do just fine. That makes me wonder if the user actually needs to make changes to drawings or if they are management who wishes to view/markup drawings. You are using the LiTe edition of autocad. You may have to get in contact with Autodesk to get the activation verified. That particular verification method may be retired. Also I don't think Autodesk is still licensing 2008 products. Why you should attempt to bump the user up to twelve is so there is less information loss between them. You may want to contact your vendor to verify. My point being that if you had a license for 2012 and your users released the license, I believe you can then bump that machine to 2012 opposed to 2008. If you have a subscription with autodesk the license is per release. Here is cheat-sheet Opens a new window my users keep to remind them of ACAD compatibility. lack of a better term conversion from new to old. To add what JonKof said, Autodesk products are backward compatible at a cost.
